Rivers & cascades
Some of Costa Rica's most beautiful waterfalls are just a short drive from Casa Cavu. From the famous Nauyaca Waterfalls near Dominical to the dramatic Diamante Waterfall near Tinamastes, this region is filled with rivers, jungle pools, and hidden swimming spots waiting to be explored.
Spend the day hiking through the rainforest, swimming beneath cascading falls, or visiting one of the many local waterfall parks and natural pools nearby. Whether you are looking for an easy family outing or a more adventurous jungle experience, the mountains surrounding Casa Cavu offer some of the best waterfall access in the Southern Pacific region of Costa Rica.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced waterman, the Costa Ballena region is known for consistent surf, beautiful beaches, and abundant marine life. Take a surf lesson with a local instructor, spend the day fishing offshore, or head out with a local guide for a more authentic Costa Rican experience.
From Dominical's famous surf breaks to the calmer waters around Uvita and Marino Ballena, there are endless ways to enjoy the Pacific. Whether you want to catch your first wave, bring home fresh fish for dinner, or simply spend the day on the ocean, adventure is always close by.

Looking to venture out and explore more of the area? Enjoy a farm-to-table lunch experience at Finca Magnolia, take a jungle ATV tour, visit nearby waterfalls, or set sail on a catamaran along the Pacific coast.
The region is surrounded by rainforest, rivers, mountains, beaches, and ocean wildlife. Depending on the season, guests may have the chance to see humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles, toucans, monkeys, and other wildlife that make this part of Costa Rica so special.
Gather together
Casa Cavu offers a beautiful setting for intimate parties, private dinners, and small events. The open living room, dining area, and outdoor patio create a comfortable space for gathering with family and friends.
The dining room can comfortably seat up to 10 guests, and the outdoor patio area can accommodate another 15 for a total of up to 25 people. Prior approval is required for all events, and guest count and event details must be provided before booking.
